today we worked out the rhetorical devices workbook, we were on device 16 and 17 and completed  exercise one for each that is basically all we did for class. its spring break!.

 we had a sub today.

today we did something different we rearranged the desks to form a circle and read Frederick Duglass obituary and the Prime Minister of Great Britain was the one reading it to basically honor him and his legacy then we read an example of how to write a rhetorical analysis paper. 

 today i took the quiz i missed yesterday and then did the workbook practice. i am tired. 

i was absent. 

 today in class we continued working on rhetorical devices and how they are used in speeches. we did the same thing as the other day, finding a rhetorical device then writing them down on a worksheet and putting down the purpose of its use. we then wrote a claim as class based on the speech we read which was donald trumps speech on building the border. 

today in class we worked out of the rhetorical devices workbook and were supposed to complete analogy activity 2 and allusion activities 1&2. We did not finish, but this took us to the end of class 

today we read mlks speech and listened to it as well. as we read we paused to annotate the speech and put our rhetorical analysis on a sheet where we explained the purpose of them being used. 

today in class we took notes on rhetorical devices this is all i remember doing and that took us towards the end of class.

 i did not attend class today due to a field trip. 

part of class today was a small discussion on how different cultures take different situations differently for example how A.A. households often dont find it a habit to eat dinner together as a family at the dining table but in latino culture it is religious to every night eat dinner as a family. we then began to read a passage and based on what we read we made quick questions to later on answer and help us practice our multiple choice testing skills. this took us to the end of class.

today was an asynchronous day and our assignment for this class was to post about our day. i started off by going to a doctors appointment - just a yearly check up. i grew half an inch :) , after i went to steak and shake then did some shopping, a little later we went and picked up earl to spend the day with us - we just stayed home, watched movies, and ordered food. Overall very good day and very much needed i didn’t get much school work done but i have the weekend.  

today in class we wrote the final product of our synthesis essay. i think i did alright i got the social media prompt question and thats all we did in class. 

today in class we went over the AP exam rubric and how we would be graded based on our responses, we then received a sample essay for us to individually read and grade based on the rubric and then shared what we graded the paper to the class. i then got called to the counselors office where i spent the rest of the class period at. 

Today in class we went back and edited and finished our prompt we started a while ago, and put our 7 sources that we chose as a group into our folder. Overall today was  very simple because mr. rease helped us out. this took us to the end of class. 

we started off todays class with creating a chart within our groups and being assigned a source, our group was source e. we then moved from group to group using the source given to us to cite evidence from our claim we made from the beginning. it was fairly simple as long as you focused on finding the evidence for it to correlate with our claim. this took us to the end of class. 

 i wasnt in class today. 

 today in school the wifi was out the entire day so during class our main focus was working on a paper assignment again it was a quick prompt and a couple of sources then we had to list the implications of the claim. i also went out to go use the restroom and saw ms. griffin and she gave me snacks so that made the day better. 

today in class we started citing our sources on a separate doc. there’s a specific name to this but i can’t remember the name. halfway through the class the parade started in the hallway and we all went out to watch it and stayed in the halls either watching it again or following it, this took us to the end of class.
